An intelligent mind, beautiful soul and kind hearted lady, Mrs. Evelyn Kavanagh was born in 1923 in Malta, a very small Island in the Mediterranean Sea, as an eldest child in her family. Her childhood was very happy and she was naturally curious and sparkles. She was a lady born for love and kindness. To the end of World War II, Evelyn met her life partner, an Englishman, and they left Malta to make a new life in England along with their two daughters, "Joanna & Alexandra". Her third baby, "Godfrey "passed away at the age of 18 months and the family was totally devastated at that time. However, she overcame to that grief with the birth of her another baby boy "Paul".
Unfortunately, later in life, Evelyn was diagnosed with dementia and later suffered from a stroke too. With these diseases, Evelyn lived for six years and passed away in February 2014.There was a time in Evelyn's life where she met with a beautiful and very energetic lady from Nepal, Miss. Muna Lama whose dream was to open and run an orphanage in Nepal.Evelyn's love for children & Muna and Muna's dream to run an orphanage awaken her family to establish an orphanage on behalf of Evelyn Kavanagh.
Thus, the journey begun with the establishment of Evelyn Children's Home with support from Evelyn and her brother Eddie.
