The devastating earthquake caused major damage in Sindhupalchowk district. All the schools had been collapsed or severely damaged. The students were traumatized mentally and could not go school due to fear continuing aftershocks. Nepal government and some international organizations has constructed temporary learning center but these TLC were devoid of desk and benches. The students were compelled sit on floor for studies.
The effects of earthquake were not only limited with food crises and various epidemics; rather the future pillar of our nation, our children and their education was highly vulnerable and threatened by this earthquake.
