Recreational program with Distribution of School Bags and Stationery

The effects of earthquake were not only limited with food crises and various epidemics; rather the future pillar of our nation, our children and their education was highly vulnerable and threatened by this earthquake. The school infrastructure was totally damaged, children are not in state of going to school and gain knowledge because of fear of earthquake.

In this situation, some recreational and motivational program for children to come school was felt needed.Hence, to support the schools by motivating students to go to school, MFN organized a Recreational Activities with Distribution of School Bags and Stationery Materials under School Support Program for three different earthquake affected schools.

They are:
i. Kyaulehana Lower Secondary School, Jyammire, Gufa
ii. JugePanchakanya Primary School, Nawalpur, Lahamani
iii. Navakanya Primary School. Simpalkavre, Chahare

Our main objective was to play and have fun with children by some recreational activities and to show some demonstration of paper art in order to divert their concentration from fear of earthquake towards school and education.

We simply wanted to deliver the message of importance of going school in order to attract them towards school. Also, we distributed around 400 schools bag and some stationery that might encourage them for going school. Thus we also danced and sang various songs with the children. Enjoying this all, they seemed very happy and surprised to know that school is not only for reading and writing, but it's a place to learn new things that could be singing and dancing as well. Around 400 students and 20 school's staffs were benefited from our program.

Distribution of Desks and Benches  

Since, 99% of infrastructures and physical assets of schools had been destroyed in recent earthquake; the education process of schools had been seriously challenged.Thus, on 8th and 9th October 2015, MFN team went to Sindhupalchwok district and supported three schools with donation of desks and benches. ...
